Aaron Broyles is an entrepreneur, author, and speaker, and has been successful in launching start-up companies and building them into multi-million dollar organizations. He has launched businesses in railroading, software development, technology consulting, among many others. Aaron has authored two books, hosts a radio program, and he has appeared on several international radio and television programs. He is a sought-after speaker, and has provided keynote speeches to multiple organizations across the U.S. Aaron is the co-founder of The Prairie Line and is excited to be leading this business into the future. While Aaron has been successful selling businesses he’s built over the years, he is committed to building the Prairie Line for the long term. Both Aaron and Bill intend to pass this business to the next Broyles generation at some point in the future. Every decision is shaped with a very long term horizon in mind.BILL BROYLES

Bill Broyles has over forty years of experience in the rail industry including time with Illinois Terminal and Norfolk Southern where he developed a reputation for safety and service leading to the role as president of the Terminal Railroad Association (TRRA). Under Bill’s leadership, TRRA’s revenue grew steadily while maintaining a very low operating ratio. Bill was also very successful at creating a culture of safety, resulting in several Gold Harriman Awards. Bill went on to co-found and build FTRL Railway with Aaron Broyles. They built the railroad from the ground up with operations across the mid-west before eventually selling the business. Bill is a co-founder and Managing Partner for The Prairie Line and is excited to be leading this business into the future.
TODD FURLOW
Vice President of Operations
Todd has worked in the rail industry for over 30 years. He has worked for a class 1 and two class 2 short lines and managed two industrial switching operations. He started his career at Norfolk southern as a Conductor and Locomotive Engineer. He then worked for The Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis where he started as conductor and worked his way to the position of General Superintendent where he was responsible for all departments, including transportation, mechanical, and engineering. Todd has also managed several Industrial rail operations for Tate and Lyle, US Steel, and ADM. He has extensive knowledge in all facets in the rail industry. He is a safety champion and has worked as a safety director for multiple railroads. He offers experience streamlining transportation operations and logistics. He has a passion for driving safety excellence and customer relations. He currently is the VP of Operations for the Prairie line where he is responsible for all operations at all locations.
